Lectures and Interactive Sessions
Most of our lectures (main programme) are delivered as two 20-minute presentations, given by two speakers giving you different perspectives on a topic. Following the lecture, a 10-minute Q&A session will allow provide you with the opportunity to ask the speakers your burning questions. Interactive sessions contain opportunities for you to vote on cases, results, images, and personal experiences.
Panel Discussions
Based on specific topics, these sessions invite various experts to discuss and debate different experiences and viewpoints. These sessions will encourage you to participate in the discussions by bringing your questions and experiences.
'Day in the Life of' Dramas
Our Day in the Life of drama series, bring learning to life in scenario-based events. See medical specialists manage emergency and critical situations in real time with examples of handling distressed owners and overwhelmed staff.
Practical CPD
Visit our Practical Village in the Exhibition Hall to get a free hands-on learning experience! These drop-in workshops are extremely popular, so schedule an early stroll through the village high street to see what the stores offer.
Exhibition CPD
Congress offers more opportunities to learn with a vast programme of free CPD in the exhibition hall. With Clinical Abstracts in the Abstract Theatre, and industry-led lectures in the Exhibition Theatre
Wellbeing
The Wellbeing Zone combines a quiet space with a programme of workshops themed on empowerment, psychological safety and community.
Accreditation
Recording Your Continued Professional Development at Congress
You can acquire over 25 hours of CPD over the three days of Congress, with a wealth of learning opportunities available through attending lectures, and visiting the exhibition theatre, wellbeing zone and practical village. CPD Certificates will automatically be sent by email following the event, for you to complete with your session attendance.
RCVS 1CPD
The RCVS 1CPD online platform and app allows you to plan, record and reflect on your CPD in an intuitive way. It incorporates features such as image uploads and voice recording so you don’t even have to type your notes. Download the 1CPD App and record your attendance after each session
Switzerland Accreditation
The main programme is also accredited for our guests from Switzerland with 6 education hours points available per day of attendance. To receive your certificate, you must visit the exhibition and have your badge scanned at some point during each day of attendance (which will record your presence). Your certificate will be emailed to you following Congress.
