Richard graduated from Cambridge in 1998 and completed an internship at UPenn and residency in surgery at University of Bristol. Since then, he has worked as a specialist surgeon in both academic and private practice, as well as spending time running and operating a mobile surgery service. He is currently Senior Clinician in Small Animal Surgery (Soft Tissue) at the University of Glasgow. His main interests are oncologic surgery, urinary tract surgery and the management of wounds/reconstructive surgery - along with teaching (and hopefully inspiring!) both undergraduates and veterinary surgeons about surgery.
