Paola Cazzini graduated in 2008 from the Veterinary University of Milan (Italy) and worked a few years in small animal private practice. In 2010 she enrolled in a combined clinical pathology residency and Master's program at the University of Georgia (USA). In 2013 she became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathology and started working as a clinical pathologist at the University of Glasgow. She joined the pathology department of the University of Edinburgh in 2015 and has been Head of Veterinary Clinical Pathology Services and residency coordinator since 2021. Paola has presented at numerous international and national clinical pathology conferences and has published her work in international journals. Paola has a particular interest in teaching: she is a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy and is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
