After Graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 1990, Lorraine decided to pursue a career in Ophthalmology. She spent 11 years at the Animal Health Trust training in both clinical and research work. She gained her RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology and Fellowship from the Institute of Ophthalmology during that time. After a short maternity leave, Lorraine started her own Ophthalmology referral clinic at Grove Referrals in Norfolk. In 2015 she returned to the Animal Health and in 2017 became the Head of the Ophthalmology department. After the Trust closed in 2020, she joined the team at DWR Veterinary Specialists in Newmarket. Lorraine loves teaching other vets about Ophthalmology and has done this throughout her career. Her special interest is the cornea and she loves performing corneal surgery.
