Elysé qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2017, and worked in mixed practice in North Yorkshire, before returning to the Royal Veterinary College to study for her Master's in Wild Animal Health. After dabbling in emergency and critical care, Elysé worked in disease risk analysis and health surveillance, before taking up her current post as a full-time clinical zoo vet. Elysé was one of Stonewall Cymru's "Equal Power Equal Voice" (Pwer Cyfartal Llais Cyfartal) mentees 2021-22, and is a member of BVLGBT+, an ally member of BVEDS and one of the BVA council's recent graduate representatives.
