Ed qualified from the RVC in 1996 and after working in practice in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, returned to the RVC for a small animal internship. He then spent one year at Liverpool University and three years at Cambridge University as a surgery resident. He has since worked in private and university referral practice and is currently one of the soft tissue surgeons at the small animal referral hospital at Langford Vets, part of the University of Bristol Vet School.
