Dorina is Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Clinical Microbiology, in the School of Veterinary Science (SVS) at University of Liverpool. Originally from Romania, Dorina is the academic leading the Veterinary Microbiology Diagnostic Laboratory at Liverpool SVS. Dorina established at Liverpool the first European College of Veterinary Microbiology (ECVM) Residency Training Centre and participates in numerous UK and European veterinary clinical microbiology training events. She leads the ENOVAT action for harmonisation of bacterial culture and antimicrobial susceptibility testing methodologies across diagnostic laboratories in Europe. Dorina`s research focuses on the transmission and genomic epidemiology of multidrug resistant organisms in human and veterinary hospitals.
