Following graduation from the R(D)SVS Edinburgh, Debbie completed a small animal internship at Glasgow Vet School before returning to Edinburgh to undertake a PhD in immunology, followed by a residency in veterinary dermatology. Post-residency, Debbie remained at the R(D)SVS as a senior dermatologist/lecturer. In 2022, Debbie joined Veterinary Specialist Scotland as head of Dermatology. Debbie is a European and RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology, and she was awarded an RCVS Fellowship for her meritorious contribution to clincial practice in 2022. Debbie has published widely and has a particular interest in canine and feline allergic skin disease as well as genetic and immune-medicated skin disease.
