Iain qualified from The University of Bristol and started his career in mixed practice in Yorkshire. He then moved to live in New Zealand where amongst other things, he owned his own inner city small animal clinic. After a period in Australia as regional manager for an international pet nutrition company, Iain moved to University California, Davis to undertake a residency in medical oncology, completing the final year at The Ohio State University. Iain returned to the UK in 2007 and has since worked in both university and private practice. He is currently a senior oncology clinician at Auravet based in Surrey. Iain is co-founder and co-director of Chemopet, a nationwide service providing both consultancy advice and individual chemotherapy doses for pets with cancer being treated in practice. Iain is interested in all aspects of the multimodal approach to cancer therapy in the clinical setting but has additional interests in approaches to effective client communication and the impact of caring on the caregiver.
