Flick qualified in 2006 and moved to Yorkshire to become an orthopaedic referral nurse. She gained additional experience as a specialist nurse, working in a variety of multidisciplinary hospitals, alongside Diplomat teams in surgery, ICU and ECC, and anaesthesia. Flick graduated with the RCVS DipAVN certification in 2012 and a BSc(hons) degree in clinical veterinary nursing in 2014. She is currently studying the ISVPS NAdvCert in surgery and an MSc in Advanced Veterinary Nursing, specialising in surgery & pain management. Flick has her own business as a VN educator in surgery and is a lecturer in undergraduate animal biosciences.
