After graduating from Ghent University, Evi began her career in first opinion veterinary practice in the UK. During a rotating internship at a private oncology referral centre, she developed a keen interest in veterinary oncology, prompting her to pursue an oncology internship and residency at Edinburgh University. Having achieved Diplomate status with the ECVIM-CA in Oncology, she continued working at The Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies as a lecturer. In 2021 she relocated to Belgium, to work as an oncologist at a private referral centre, where she played a key role in developing the oncology service. Since February 2024 she also joined the UK medical oncology consulting team at IDEXX.
