Alison graduated from the University of Bristol in 1992 and spent six years in general practice before moving to the Dick Vet in 1998 to undertake a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine. She remained at the Dick Vet as a member of the Small Animal Internal Medicine team until 2014, latterly running the ICU and Emergency Medicine Service. Alison moved to the University of Glasgow in October 2014 to take up a position as a Senior Clinician in Small Animal Medicine.
