The 2–3 September will see Scottish Congress return to the world-class conferencing facilities of the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) on the bank of the River Clyde. We hope you can join us for 2 days of CPD and networking in the friendly city of Glasgow. 

Scottish Congress Programme

Lectures for 2017 focus on a range of popular topics with something for everyone, including oncology, dentistry, exotics, emerging diseases, steroids and ECC. There are dedicated vet and VN streams, along with an additional stream open to all delegates. In an exciting development for 2017, we are running a basic and advanced suturing practical sessions on Saturday 2 September for just £10 a ticket – these are bound to be very popular so book early to reserve your place. Sunday also sees the introduction of new 30-minute ‘Top Tip’ lectures giving delegates access to relevant, applicable and succinct advice on hot topics.

Case Reports

Do you have an interesting or unusual case that you would like to share with others? Veterinary surgeons, nurses and students are invited to submit abstracts of no more than 400 words detailing the case and interesting discussion points. 

Selected cases will receive free registration on Saturday and Sunday and a BSAVA Manual of the winner’s choice will be awarded to the case report deemed favourite by the audience. Gala dinner tickets can be purchased at the delegate rate. For more information or to submit an abstract contact Sam Woods ( Abstracts should be submitted via email by 15 July 2017. Notice of acceptance will be given by Monday 24 July 2017.

Submission guidelines

We ask if all submissions can follow the JSAP guidelines for structuring the case reports:

Summary/Abstract (maximum 400 words):
Introduction - brief overview of the subject
Case Histories – containing clinical detail
Discussion – describing the importance of the report and its novel findings
