Student Bursary

The Congress Student Bursary offers a unique opportunity to veterinary students, helping them experience Europe’s largest small animal veterinary event completely free of charge and participate in dedicated student lectures and networking opportunities.

The highly popular Bursary offers 50 places to UK and Ireland BSAVA Student members in their final or penultimate year of study. Along with a free student registration to Congress 2018 successful applicants can also enjoy a number of other benefits:

  • Network with other students and representatives from the veterinary profession at the evening reception on Thursday 5th April 2018
  • Develop workplace skills with the dedicated Congress Student Stream on Friday 6th April 2018 at the Rep Theatre
  • Experience the majority of the fantastic range of lectures at BSAVA Congress 2018
  • Receive £200 support towards your travel and accommodation


The application for Student Bursaries at BSAVA Congress 2018 has now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied - we received an unprecedented number of applications this year. Successful awards will be notified in January.

Terms and Conditions

  • Those who wish to take advantage of this bursary must attend all the aforementioned events, all 4 days of BSAVA Congress and will also be required to complete a feedback survey. If you are unable to attend any of these events your place will be allocated to another applicant
  • Applications will be entered into a draw after the closing date of 15th December and the successful students will be notified mid January 2018.
  • Each applicant must be a BSAVA Student member in the UK or Ireland before they submit their Student Bursary Application. It's free and easy to join BSAVA as a student member here.
  • The payment of £200 will be made upon receipt of the completed survey.
